Farmer donates 20,000 tubers of Yam to support free S.H.S

Mr. Kyere  Collins a good farmer donated 20,000 tubers of yam to help support free SHS program in Drobo in the Jaman South Municipality. The farmer disclosed that one of the main components of the free SHS program is feeding and this has an impact on the children so he has therefore made it his priority to help feed students in senior high schools.

According to the benevolent farmer, this kind way of his is aimed at helping the policy to become sustainable. He also added that this is the first of many to come as he will do other donations next year to ease some of the pressure on the government .

“The Free Senior High School programme is a nice initiative by the government, the least we can do is to support it. This is my contribution towards the programme and i promise to give more next year”.

Mr. Kusi Boadum the Bono region Free SHS coordinator upon receiving the donation thanked the Farmer and assured him that the Yam will be distributed evenly to the various schools in the Municipalities.
